Websites for Belfast businesses

Shipyards beside a packed market hall, with an indie coffee scene that's tripled on Lisburn Road since 2018.

Belfast is a working capital — not a postcard. Harland & Wolff's yellow cranes still loom over the Titanic Quarter, while St George's Market fills with traders three days a week and the indie coffee scene has tripled along Lisburn Road since 2018. Cathedral Quarter, Ballyhackamore and the Boucher Road trading estates sit a few miles apart but feel like different towns. Most cafés, salons and tradesmen here don't need a complicated site — they need a clean link to put on their van.

Working with Belfast

The small-business economy is the city, not the back office. St George's Market fills a Grade-A listed Victorian building Friday to Sunday with food, craft and vintage traders. Belfast One BID covers the city centre; independents like Established Coffee and Neighbourhood Café anchor the day trade, and Maven's homeware shop fills the old Bank of Ireland on Lisburn Road. Boucher Road is the trading-estate spine — the Belfast Telegraph counted a third more coffee shops citywide by late 2018 and the curve hasn't flattened.

Every Belfast site is hand-coded, mobile-first, and shipped on its own domain. There's nothing for you to maintain — hosting, SSL, backups, updates and small content edits are all in the £25/month plan. You'll deal directly with me from brief to launch, by email or WhatsApp, in plain English.

Real Belfast small businesses, not stock photos

Every Belfast brief lands somewhere on the same map of shops, salons, trades and indie operators. Here are some of the real Belfast businesses I've researched while writing this page — the kind of place a clean £25/month site is built for.

Why these industries cluster here
  • Shipbuilding and marine

The Titanic Quarter sits on the former Harland & Wolff shipyard, birthplace of the Titanic and the anchor of Belfast's maritime industry since the 1860s.

  • Hospitality and food retail

St George's Market and the Lisburn Road / Ballyhackamore cafe strip underpin a long-standing independent food trade — the Belfast Telegraph reported a third more coffee shops citywide by late 2018.

  • Creative and digital

Cathedral Quarter and the Queen's Quarter house most of the city's small design, film and tech studios, building on the post-1998 creative cluster.

Belfast City Council's Future City Centre Programme is delivering public realm upgrades across the city centre using developer contributions agreed through planning.

FAQs

Belfast web design — common questions

Do you work with businesses in the Cathedral Quarter and Titanic Quarter?

+

Yes — anywhere from BT1 out to Ballyhackamore, Lisburn Road and the Boucher Road trading estates. The £25/month plan, the 1-2 week turnaround and what's included don't change with postcode.

Will you set up or manage a Google Business Profile for me?

+

No — and that's deliberate. The £25/month plan covers a hand-coded site on its own domain, hosting, SSL, backups and small day-to-day edits. Google Business Profile setup, SEO, paid ads and social media management are services I don't offer, so I don't promise them.

Do you build sites for tradesmen, salons and cafes in Belfast?

+

Yes — that's most of the work. A one-page site with a phone number that rings on the right mobile, a contact form, a few photos and a service list is usually enough. Hand-coded, mobile-first, live in about a week from the brief.

Can you add new pages to my site after launch?

+

Small text and photo swaps are included any time, usually back the same day. Adding brand new pages or sections is a separate conversation and a separate quote — it's not part of the monthly fee.

Do you do e-commerce with online checkout?

+

I do basic product showcase pages — a clean grid of items with photos and prices, and people can ring or email to buy. Full checkout and card processing isn't something I offer, by design.
