Websites for Bromley businesses

BR1 runs from The Glades down to the old town hall and back up Widmore Road — a proper high-street town with its own BID.

Bromley's high street does the usual South East London thing — chain stores in the middle, independents clinging to the edges. The Glades still anchors one end, and Your Bromley BID's directory lists real independents: Sassis Coffee on the High Street, The Royal Bell pub, and JDM Estate Agents opposite. The trams don't reach as far as Bromley town centre, but the trains from Bromley South and Bromley North go everywhere that matters, so a lot of small firms in BR1 still treat the town centre as the natural hub for the south of the borough.

Working with Bromley

The London Borough of Bromley is mostly residential, but the town centre pulls in a chunk of office-based work. The council's Local Plan puts around 132,000 sqm of office floorspace in Bromley Town Ward — almost half the borough's total — which is what supports the accountants, solicitors and estate agents (JDM is one on the High Street). Retail and food & drink is the other main strand: the BID's independents directory runs from Buddy's Café on London Road to Mobile Bitz in The Glades, alongside a heavy weighting of cafés, salons and the usual mid-market chains. There's no single dominant industry in the borough — it's a small-firms town spread across BR1 through BR7.

Every Bromley site is hand-coded, mobile-first, and shipped on its own domain. There's nothing for you to maintain — hosting, SSL, backups, updates and small content edits are all in the £25/month plan. You'll deal directly with me from brief to launch, by email or WhatsApp, in plain English.

Real Bromley small businesses, not stock photos

Every Bromley brief lands somewhere on the same map of shops, salons, trades and indie operators. Here are some of the real Bromley businesses I've researched while writing this page — the kind of place a clean £25/month site is built for.

FAQs

Bromley web design — common questions

Do you work with businesses in all the BR postcodes?

+

Yes — anywhere from BR1 through BR7. I work with sole traders, cafés, salons, tradespeople and small professional firms across the borough. The £25/month price and the 1-2 week turnaround are the same for everyone, no matter which side of the A21 you're on.

What's actually included in the £25 a month?

+

A hand-coded website on your own domain (registered in your name), hosting, SSL, backups, software updates, basic on-page SEO like sensible page titles and descriptions, and small edits whenever you need them — new phone number, swapped photo, a price change, usually back same day. There's no setup fee and no contract. You can cancel any month.

Can you run my Google Business Profile or do my SEO for me?

+

No, and that's deliberate. I don't do Google Business Profiles, SEO ranking work, blogs, paid ads, or social media management — the £25 plan is just the website itself. The basics of on-page SEO (titles, descriptions, fast loads) are in. Anything beyond that, I'll happily point you at someone who does it properly.

I run an independent shop or café on the Bromley high street — is this the right kind of site for me?

+

It's exactly the kind of work I do. A single page, or a short few-page site, with your hours, address, a map link, a menu or a price list, and a contact form. Looks right on a phone, loads fast, and gives you a link you can put on Instagram, your window or a business card without wincing.

How long does it take to go live?

+

Once we've agreed the brief, 1-2 weeks to a live link on your own domain. Smaller sites (a one-page trader or a single café site) often turn around faster. There's no project manager and no committee — it's just me, so things move.
