Websites for Crystal Palace businesses

Crystal Palace Park's 1854 dinosaur sculptures, Church Road's indie shops, and the Westow Street triangle of bars and cafés.

Crystal Palace sits on a hilltop ridge in south London, split across the London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon and Lambeth, and centred on the Crystal Palace Triangle — Church Road, Westow Hill and Westow Street. The 1854 dinosaur sculptures in Crystal Palace Park were the first full-scale reconstructions of dinosaurs anywhere in the world, and the surrounding streets still pull a steady trade of independents. Most of the cafés, bars and tradesmen I work with up here run out of small units around the Triangle and Anerley Road.

Working with Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace's commercial core is the Triangle, a tight knot of Church Road, Westow Hill and Westow Street that holds most of the area's independent shops, bars and cafés. D'Solo's has run a clothing boutique on Church Road since 1999, Coconut Trading has sold world crafts from the same road since 2000, and Picture Palace has been framing and selling prints from Westow Street since 1979. Crow on Hill bookshop on Westow Street has been open seven days a week since 1997, and Blue Door Bicycles runs a workshop out of Central Hill. The economy is small-unit and footfall-driven — the trade mostly follows the up-and-over-the-hill foot traffic from Crystal Palace station and the surrounding streets of Upper Norwood and Gipsy Hill.

Every Crystal Palace site is hand-coded, mobile-first, and shipped on its own domain. There's nothing for you to maintain — hosting, SSL, backups, updates and small content edits are all in the £25/month plan. You'll deal directly with me from brief to launch, by email or WhatsApp, in plain English.

Real Crystal Palace small businesses, not stock photos

Every Crystal Palace brief lands somewhere on the same map of shops, salons, trades and indie operators. Here are some of the real Crystal Palace businesses I've researched while writing this page — the kind of place a clean £25/month site is built for.

Some Crystal Palace independents we'd happily sit next to

Why these industries cluster here
  • Independent retail and craft

The Church Road / Westow Street / Westow Hill Triangle has held a dense cluster of long-running independents — D'Solo's (1999), Coconut Trading (2000), Picture Palace (1979) and Crow on Hill bookshop (1997) — with very few chain stores on the same stretch.

  • Hospitality, bars and cafés

Westow Street and the surrounding Triangle streets carry the bulk of SE19's evening economy, with restaurants, cafés and bars clustered within walking distance of Crystal Palace station and the park.

Bromley Council confirmed in 2025 that restoration work on the 1854 Crystal Palace dinosaur sculptures is underway as part of the wider Crystal Palace Park regeneration, managed by the Crystal Palace Park Trust (https://www.bromley.gov.uk/news/article/894/crystal-palace-dinosaur-restoration-breathing-new-life-into-historic-park).

FAQs

Crystal Palace web design — common questions

Do you build websites for businesses in Crystal Palace Triangle and on Church Road?

+

Yes — anywhere across SE19 and SE20, including the Triangle, Church Road, Westow Hill, Westow Street, Anerley Road and Penge end. The £25/month plan and the 1-2 week turnaround are identical whichever street you're on, and most of my Crystal Palace work is cafés, bars, indie shops and tradesmen.

How much does a website for a Crystal Palace small business cost?

+

I charge a flat £25 a month with no setup fee, no contract, and hosting and the domain included. A typical café, bar, indie shop or tradesman site runs to about £300 a year all in. Cancel any month.

How quickly can a Crystal Palace café or tradesman get a website live?

+

Most one-page or small multi-page sites are live within 1-2 weeks of the brief, depending on how quickly I get the photos, opening hours and any menu or service list. A tradesman who sends a logo and a few job photos on a Monday is usually live before the month is out.

Will you also set up our Google Business Profile for our Crystal Palace shop?

+

No — and that's deliberate. I don't do Google Business Profile work, SEO retainers, blogs, social media, or Google Ads. The £25/month plan covers the website itself: hosting, SSL, backups, software updates, and same-day small content edits when something changes. If you need help with your GBP listing, I can point you to someone local who does.

Do you do SEO, blogs, or Google Business Profile?

+

No — and that's deliberate. The £25/month plan is for a clean, quick website on its own domain, with the basic on-page SEO sorted (sensible page titles, descriptions, fast loads). It is not a marketing package. If you want someone to actively manage your Google Business Profile, run a blog, or chase rankings, this isn't the right service — I'd rather say so upfront.
