Working with Orpington
The Orpington 1st Business Improvement District — the first BID in the London Borough of Bromley — runs on a levy paid by around 325 BR5/BR6 town centre businesses and pays for the Santa Dash, Light Up Orpington and the rest of the events programme. The visible high street trade is independent food and drink: The Orpington, a café and record store at 161 High Street, BR6 Restaurant the modern British bistro, and A Mano Coffee Bar and Kitchen a few doors down. The Walnuts Leisure Centre, run by Mytime Active, is mid-way through a £17m refurbishment of the pool hall and gym, due to reopen in 2026. Out at Nugent Shopping Park on Cray Avenue the big-box retail park pulls the second chunk of BR5 town-centre footfall.
Every Orpington site is hand-coded, mobile-first, and shipped on its own domain. There's nothing for you to maintain — hosting, SSL, backups, updates and small content edits are all in the £25/month plan. You'll deal directly with me from brief to launch, by email or WhatsApp, in plain English.
